From Claude to Gemini in a few clicks
Say you have a long Claude thread analysing a dataset and want Gemini to check the reasoning. You keep the question, the method and the conclusions, and ask Gemini where the analysis could be wrong.

You can move the conversation yourself. It works, it’s just slower, and long chats are easy to get wrong.
Getting it out of Claude
- Use the copy button under each message, or select the text and copy it.
- Claude can share a snapshot link of a chat, which works for people rather than for another AI.
- Settings → Privacy → Export data sends you your full history by email, not just the one conversation.
Putting it into Gemini
Paste it into a new Gemini chat and add what you want next. If the paste is very long, cut the side conversations first so Gemini focuses on the parts that matter.
Questions people ask before installing
Will Gemini know the conversation came from Claude?
Yes. Relay starts the hand-off with "I'm continuing work from a conversation in Claude", followed by the messages you chose, so Gemini reads it as a continuation.
Can I bring only part of the Claude chat?
Yes. Every message has a checkbox, and you can keep only the latest few. You see the full hand-off before anything moves.
Does Relay send the message to Gemini for me?
No. Relay puts the text in Gemini's message box and stops there. You read it, add your question and press send yourself.
Does my conversation go through Relay's servers?
No. Relay runs in your browser and has no servers. The text goes straight from the Claude tab to the Gemini tab.
What if the conversation is really long?
Relay warns you when a hand-off is very large, because a huge paste can make answers worse. Untick the side conversations and keep the messages Gemini actually needs.
